"I
grew up market garden/farming in New York. I started this
farm in 1972. I cofounded Oregon Tilth, writing the original
standards and guidelines for organic agriculture, which started
certification.
I
have mentored many of the people doing organic gardening in
this area, and many more elsewhere.
Ron
Spisgo and I started the Corvallis Saturday Farmers' Market.
This farm has been selling in five farmers' markets per year
for many years.
As
I am in my 60's now and the farm is in transition. Tim Gotsch
is managing production and sales this year. The farm is set
up in a trust and at my passing will go to Oregon Tilth as
a research, education and production facility." -Harry
