"In
1987, John Eveland and Sally Brewer joined three other farmers
to start Gathering Together Farm (GTF) along the Mary's River,
just south of Philomath. They had 20 acres of land to farm
and hopes for gorgeous organic produce. Two years into the
venture John and Sally were the only farmers left. They had
five acres, a manure spreader and a tractor. Since then, the
farm has grown to 35 acres, and their vision is being realized
daily.
John
and Sally's three daughters help with the business and the
crew now expands to more than 20 workers during peak season.
Our produce is sold at seven different farmers' markets, including
the Wednesday and Saturday Corvallis markets, and is served
at various premier restaurants in Corvallis and Portland.
We also distribute our produce through the Ladybug label of
Organically Grown Company. GTF also grows seed that is sold
through Wild Garden Seed. We have made our reputation by offering
high quality, great-tasting organic produce to the community.
Our
farm stand features our fresh produce and seasonal entrées
made with the finest ingredients. Visit us for lunch, breakfast
or brunch and build a closer connection to your food. Visit
our website at www.gatheringtogetherfarm.com
